How many nationalities on our latest CertTESOL? Including tutors, trainees and students a total of 13 from HK, the UK and South Africa, China, Japan, Chad, Somalia, Egypt and Brazil, once again contributing to the very international flavour of Train The Teacher’s Trinity College London CertTESOL course at The Edge Learning Center, Mong Kok.
Congratulations to our latest Hong Kong cohort of trainees (the October 2017 part-time course), who recently completed the Train The Teacher CertTESOL course, some of whom star in our latest video describing what we do when the CertTESOL is driving us all towards excellence in teaching and learning!
Three times a week (Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Sunday mornings/afternoons) they learned and delivered, spurring each other on with binges on donuts and other snacks that require no justification when you are working so hard in such good spirit and giving tireless support for each other.
It has been wonderful to see such progress with this group, and to hear from them about how much they had learned on the teaching and learning journey, with some important changes of mindsets on the practice of English Language Teaching.
Angelina Komar, Vannessa Misso-Veness and Frank Doogan all from the Train The Teacher team lead in their roles as CertTESOL tutors. Vanessa’s extensive experience in EAL and in conducting professional development workshops and courses for teachers (Korea, Singapore, Thailand) was an excellent complement to the team, and the trainees gained considerably from her pertinent and valuable insights during their teaching practice – as well as her empathy and humour.
